Chaplaincy New Zealand

People throughout New Zealand and the world are impacted by natural disaster, losing friends and family and traumatic events on a daily basis. It was an honour to be asked to design the brand for Chaplaincy New Zealand that would be used to represent support, relationship, and hope.

We went back to the very basics and brainstormed through what chaplaincy was and who it touches… We were inspired by the colours and process in which a Paua shell is formed, the uniqueness of each person’s situation and journey, and what we as New Zealanders provide… With these things in mind we designed a logo with typography that was strong yet had soft edges, and included the tagline in a handwritten font as to always keep the people in focus. Inspiration followed with the development of the icon… the base of the design drew inspiration from isobars that reflect the weather and natural disasters and also finger prints which represent both the individual lives and the people that have left their mark. We placed New Zealand in the centre as no matter who Chaplaincy NZ chaplains touches or assists, we are held together by the people that make up New Zealand.

We had the privilege to also provide them business cards, letterhead, temporary landing page website, assist with Facebook graphics and Conference advertising.
